November 22, 2022, at the Honors Ceremony for the faculty members who got achievements in 2021 - 2022, held at the Atthasit Vejjajiva Conference Room, 5th Floor, Queen Sirikit Medical Center Building, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean, warmly presented the award to congratulate Professor Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D.; Professor of Radiology (Interventional Neuroradiology), and Deputy Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations, for your achievement of receiving a plaque of honor "On Morality and Ethics" from the Medical Council of Thailand.

 

 

November 22, 2022, at Meeting Room no. 1, Office of the Dean, Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Deputy Dean, provided warm welcome to Emeritus Professor Herman Kingma from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, to the Board of Executives' meeting. Emeritus Professor Kingma who's been appointed to be a visiting scholar working for Ramathibodi's Department of Otolaryngology, will be working onsite at Ramathibodi from November 21 - December 2, 2022.

 

 

November 10, 2022, at Meeting Room no. 1, Office of the Dean, Professor Roger Frutos - appointed visiting scholar of the Department of Pathology - met with the Board of Executives. Professor Frutos was assigned to work on-site at the Department of Pathology, Ramathibodi from October 31 until November 19, 2022.

 

November 7, 2022, at the Meeting Room no.1, 5th Floor, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Associate Professor Surasak Leelaudomlipi, M.D., Acting Deputy Dean for Health Care and Director of Ramathibodi Hospital, together with  Professor Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations, and the faculty members who are experts in the areas regarding cancer research, provided a welcome to the delegation from National Cancer Center (NCC), Japan, led by Dr. Hitoshi.  Nakagama, the president, on the occasion of their visiting the faculty and looking for further opportunities to expand the scope of cooperation in cancer research. After the collaborative discussion, they also spent time site-visiting at the Clinical Research Center and the Chemotherapy and Short-Stay Services at the Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center (SDMC).

On November 2, 2022, the Center for Global Health, Osaka University, Hokkaido University, and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, cooperatively held the 7th Joint Conference Rama- Hokkaido- Osaka  University Joint symposium. The onsite event was run at the Alumni Hall “Frate”, Hokkaido University, School of Medicine, Japan, while the online platform was broadcasted via the ZOOM system. 

The conference started with the opening remarks from Prof.Ken Nakata, M.D., Director of the Center of Global Health, Osaka University, followed by statements from Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof. Shinya Tanaka, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Hokkaido University; and Prof. Genta Kawahara, Executive Vice President of Global Engagement, Osaka University, respectively. The joint conference comprised lectures and presentations on various topics under the theme of "Development of International Human Clinical Research", sharing and exchanging the ideas of their research on Infectious diseases, Cancer, and Medical device.

October 10, 2022, at the Embassy of France in Bangkok, Professor Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations, along with Associate Professor Mongkol Kunakorn, M.D., Head, Department of Pathology, and the staff member of Department of Pathology; all as the representatives of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the MOU Signing Ceremony of Master DYNAMEID (Dynamic of Emerging and Infectious Diseases) between the multi-agencies including CIRAD - Center of International Cooperation for Agricultural Research and Development, University of Montpellier, Universitas Gadjahmada, Mahidol University, and Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL). On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, the French Ambassador, presided over the honorable ceremony.
The signing of this MOU and Agreement signifies a concrete step in fostering closer collaboration between Thailand and France in terms of higher education in the academic medical program, which aims to internationalize such Master's programs in Clinical Pathology to meet international standards and be globally recognized.
 
September 28, 2022, at the Meeting Room no.1, Office of the Dean, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Professor Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D. provided an official welcome via the VDO call system to the delegates from the University of Edinburgh, UK, led by Professor David Weller, Ph.D., who is the James Mackenzie Professor of General Practice, as well as being the Dean International, and SE Asia/Australasia Co-Director of Centre for Population Health Sciences of the University of Edinburgh, on the occasion of his official visit - on behalf of the University of Edinburgh - to Ramathibodi in the hope to establish the future possible collaboration.
The meeting was mainly focused on the discussion about the opportunities to strengthen the academic collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and Ramathibodi. A wide range of possibilities to establish collaboration in the areas of Genomic, Health Science Information, Global Health, Regenerative Medicine - Stem Cell Mesenchymal, and postgraduate exchange in Family Medicine, have also been discussed. It was a very productive and fruitful meeting.

On August 10, 2022, at the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorder, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Dr. Nittaya Kasemkosin, Head of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, along with Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Relations, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, as well as the staff member of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, provided a warm welcome to the group of executives from Macquarie University led by Prof. Simon Handley, Pro-Vice Chancellor Graduate Research Academy, and Dr. Louise Dwyer, Operations Director Graduate Research Academy.
The main purpose of this visit was to explore the updated progress of the project called ASEAN Hearing Hub and Communication Sciences Center within Ramathibodi which is a collaborative project between Ramathibodi and Macquarie University since 2018.
