The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, Macquarie University, Australia, collaborated in organizing a special session on the Virtual Academic Mobility meeting; under the theme: Professional Future Plans and Networking Event, on May 31, 2021, via the ZOOM online platform. On this occasion, Miss. Ponjit Jithavech, Lecturer from Ramathibodi’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, served as moderator for this special event.
Dr. Sittiprapa Isarangura, Instructor of Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, presented about the professional journey, and idea of What MU CD students can/ will do after their graduation, while the Ramathibodi’s undergraduate CD students, shared their thought about the possible future plans after graduation; studies and career paths. Later, the representatives from Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, of Macquarie University, led by Associate Professor Mridula Sharma, Course Director of Clinical Audiology Program, and Dr. Scott Barnes, Course Director of Master of Speech and Language Pathology Program, also expressed their opinion towards their professional experience and shared the information about the further plans which is possible for MQ students. While the MQ’s postgraduate students; from both the Master Program of Speech and Language Pathology and the Master Program of Master of Clinical Audiology, joined their idea of their goals and planning for the future. The virtual academic mobility in this time ended up with a discussion session between the representatives from both institutes.
This activity aims to encourage further academic exchange between the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Macquarie University, which has established their official collaboration since 2019
On May 18, 2021, The Chang-Gung University, Taiwan, and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, joined together on a virtual exchange program under the topic of “The Learning Experience during the Covid-19 Outbreak” via the Cisco WebEx, online platform. The virtual meeting comprised undergraduate students from both Ramathibodi and Chang-Gung University participating in the collaborative session while all participants listened attentively to the presentations and expressed eagerly to share their experience on each other’s education system, culture, and solutions taken against the COVID-19 pandemic in their respective countries.
This virtual exchange activity aims to encourage the students, both Ramathibodi and Chang-Gung University, to share their knowledge and experience with each other as well as to increase opportunities for students to communicate in English, and finally, to promote the continuing international activity despite the ongoing pandemic disruption.
March 22, 2021, at 910AB Room, 9th Floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, as well as via the ZOOM online platform, Prof. Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, presided over the 1st International Online Conference on Pediatric Hearing loss: Diagnosis, Management and Rehabilitation during March 22nd – 24th, 2021. This international conference, which hosted by Ramathibodi’s Department of Communication Science and Disorder, honored by the famous speakers and moderators both from Ramathibodi and overseas institutions with international recognition, including Dr. Rebecca Kim from Macquarie University, Australia, Prof. Dr. Carol Westby from the Bilingual Multicultural Services in Albuquerque, USA, and Prof. Dr. Goh Bee See from Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia.
Focusing on the professionals working with hearing impairment in children, the conference expects that the audiences will achieve knowledge in the topics regarding Research on Genetic hearing loss, Hearing loss and its impact, Surgical Treatments available: Cochlear Implant for treatment severe to profound HL cases, and Key surgical consideration, Baha implant for treatment conductive HL cases and key surgical considerations, New-born hearing screening & Diagnosis of hearing loss, Management & Auditory rehabilitation, Communication and family-centered practice in Australia – Thailand, Learning foundations in children with hearing impairment, Development of the theory of mind in children with hearing impairment, and finally, Teaching theory of mind to develop social and literacy skills in children with hearing impairment.
This international conference is also counted as a part of the "Thailand Hearing Hub project" under the collaboration of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Macquarie University, in hope of being beneficial to the ASEAN community in term of human resources development and capacity building for medical and health science education.

On March 17, 2021, via the ZOOM virtual platform from the Sra Pathum Palace, Bangkok, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn gave an audience to the 24 trainees, lecturers, representatives, and managers from all 6 short course training within The 23rd Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Laos PDR, regarding the closing ceremony of the training program which held during February 1 – March 17, 2021.
On this occasion, from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, which in charge of the short course training on Anatomical Pathology, Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Relations, Assistant Professor Prawat Nitiyanant, M.D.from Department of Pathology, as well as Associate Professor Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Ph.D., Director of the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, had an audience with Her Royal Highness at the Sra Pathum Palace.
This annual training program has been initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, in hope of medical knowledge contribution to Health Personnel from Laos PDR. Due to the situation of Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), the 23rd class was totally trained via the online platform which included the short course training on Anatomical Pathology at Ramathibodi from February 1 – March 12, 2021. The class also served virtually via the platform of Cisco Webex and ZOOM while the 3 trainees of this short course training on Anatomical Pathology including Dr. Phouthasone MOUNTHISONE from Mitaphab Hospital, Dr. Phaengvilay XAYSOMPHET from University of Health Sciences, and Dr. Xaybandith VONGSARAVANH from Mahosot Hospital.

ทั้งนี้ โครงการฝึกอบรมเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขสำหรับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์จากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ตามพระราชดำริ สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี รุ่นที่ 23 จัดขึ้นผ่านระบบออนไลน์ ระหว่างวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ - 17 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2564 สำหรับการฝึกอบรมในหลักสูตรพยาธิวิทยากายวิภาคที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ดรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดีรับผิดชอบนั้น จัดผ่านระบบ Cisco Webex, ZOOM ระหว่างวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ - 12 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2564 โดยมีผู้เข้ารับการอบรมจากหน่วยงานต่างๆ ของสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว เข้ารับการฝึกอบรม จำนวน 3 คน ดังนี้

On March 17, 2021, via webinar platform, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Associate Professor Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Ph.D., Director of the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, presided over the virtual meeting “COVID-19 and Its Disruptive Effects on the Nursing Education: Future, Policy and Strategic Plans” (COVIDNEd 2021). On this special occasion, Professor Suchatvee Suwansawat, Ph.D., Rector of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, kindly gave a special lecture on “Transforming the educational model during COVID-19 to Improve learning outcomes: Rethinking what really matters and what we should do moving forward?”.
This virtual conference was co-hosted by the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, University of Technology, Sydney, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Deakin University, University of Hong Kong Taipei Medical University, St. Luke’s International University, National University of Singapore, University of Massachusetts Amherst Kunming Medical University, Osaka Prefecture University, in hope to expand the international collaboration among Nursing instructor, students as well as another faculty staff, exchanging academic knowledge, experience on research and teaching, learning management and know-how to apply various innovations during the epidemic situation of COVID-19. This virtual conference was held during March 17-18, 2021.
On March 1, 2021, the executives of Ramathibodi, led by our dean, Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, paid an official visit to the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital.
Tohoku University, Japan, and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, celebrated the successful launch of a virtual exchange program on February 11, 2021. 28 medical students from the 1st to 5th years participated in this collaborative session
The first session started with presentations by the students introducing the two universities. Participants from both countries then gave excellent talks on the topic of "The Learning Experience During the Covid-19 Outbreak". All participants listened attentively to the presentations and both sides learned and became more curious about their partner country, its education system and culture, in addition to exchanging information and asking questions about the measures taken against the COVID-19 pandemic in their respective countries.
This activity aims to encourage the medical students from both Ramathibodi and Tohoku to share and exchange their knowledge despite the pandemic era.
