Congratulation to our Deputy Dean for International Relations for your achievement as the Siriraj's outstanding alumni award 2019 for academic excellence.
During January 23rd - 25th, 2019; Prof. Boonsong Ongphiphadhanakul, MD, Deputy Dean for Research, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, along with Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, MD, Assistant Dean for International Relations; Prof. Dr. Wasun Chantratita, PhD, Head of Center for Medical Genomics, and Dr.Jakris Eu-ahsunthornwattana, MD, PhD Faculty Member of Department of Community Medicine attended Cotutelle & Joint PhD 2019 International Research Training Partnerships Workshop at Macquarie University, Australia; as the representatives of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Wasun Chantratita, PhD had been invited as the speaker for “Over 1,000 EGAT participants in ‘game-changing’ Thailand Genomes Project”; while Dr.Jakris Eu-ahsunthornwattana, MD, PhD joined as speaker for “Genomics Thailand and population genomics research in Ramathibodi Hospital”. The objective of this visit is to introduce foreign universities’ executive board members of Mahidol University, and professionals the new strategic plan of Thailand higher education, and to strengthen cooperation between MU & MQ in particular for the pioneering field of genomic research and related collaboration further, following the EEC’s aspiration.

Prof. Natini Jinawath, M.D., Assistant Dean for Graduate Education; and Dr. Meng-Shin Shiao, Assistant Dean for International Relations, as the representatives of the Dean and the faculty's executives, precisely provided kind welcome to the group of visitors from Kunming Medical University, led by the executives such as Prof. Wu Xinan, Vice Dean of Graduation School; Assoc. Prof. LI Bo, Chief of Section of General Affairs, Graduation School; Assoc. Prof. LIU Jianxing, Chief of Section of Academic Affairs, Graduation School, on the occasion of their revisit the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.  The proposes of their visit are to have collaborative discussion towards several issues such as Short course training in Nursing, How to control infectious especially in rural areas, and the possibility of students exchange activities; both for Undergrad and Postgrad, between the 2 institutes. Assoc. Prof.Wasun Chantratita, M.D.,Head of Center for Medical Genomics, provided warm welcome to Netherlands Task Force Health Care (TFHC) led by Mr. Peter Post, Director; to visit Ramathibodi's Center for Medical Genomics and have discussion towards possibility of collaboration. Task Force Health Care (TFHC) is a public-private platform founded in 1996. The TFHC network consist of partners from industry, knowledge institutes, NGO’s, healthcare providers and the government, all active in the Dutch Life Sciences & Health sector. The partners provide innovative and sustainable solutions to global (and local) healthcare challenges and are active all over the world. In the last decade the TFHC visited and maintained relationships with more than 30 countries. Through the implementation of Country Platforms the TFHC created a sustainable & special focus on: China, India, Indonesia, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.    
  On Nov.27, 2018 at The Dean’s Meeting Room, Office of the Dean, 5th Floor of Lecture Hall Building, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean, following with his Assistant Dean for International Relations, Assoc. Prof.Sirin Apiyasawat, M.D., Dr.Tachapong Ngarmukos, M.D., Head of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Center and Asst. Prof.Pavit Pienvichit, M.D. from Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine; organized an official welcome for the distinguished visitors from Boston scientific corporation, leading by Mr. Michael Mahoney who is the Chairman & CEO and his Senior Vice President &  President of Asia Pacific, Mr. Warren Wang. The purpose of their visit are to discuss about the possibility to establish a collaborative excellence center for Arrhythmia care with Rhythmia 3D navigation system and have several site visits to the working areas in Ramathibodi including Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s Body Intervention Unit, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Coronary Care Unit and Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center. On November 9, 2018 - Prof.Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations along with her Assistant Dean for International Relations; Assist.Prof.Suchin Worawichawong, M.D. Assoc. Prof. Krisna Lertsukprasert; Head of Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as the specialists, instructors and professional staff of the department, precisely welcomed the Executive Director, Research Training and International Research Training Partnerships of Macquarie University, Australia, Dr. Ren Yi. The meeting included a lively discussion and a commitment to more research exchanges and possibility to do the duo program between the 2 institutes in the area of Audiology & Speech-Pathology. Macquarie University is a public research university located in Sydney, Australia. It has 40,000 students, a quarter of which are graduate students. Although relatively young - it was founded in 1964 - it ranks highly among universities within Australia and around the world.
At Meeting Room no.2, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine together with Mr. Jason Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Biosecurity, LLC and Mr. Marek Stepniak, President of CP Medical Center Co., Ltd., signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective cooperates on November 14, 2018. The MOU contains a detailed framework for cooperation in research developing and analyzing a unique dataset for cancer research including Cancer Sequencing , Digital Pathology Imaging, Additional Data Collection, finally, the Data Analysis of databases and population studies.
Nov 7, 2018, Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, along with Prof. Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, Prof.Ammarin Thakkinstian, Ph.D. Head, Section for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the team of Lecturers provided the warm welcome to Prof. Rebessa Ivers, M.D. Head, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of New South Wales precisely visited Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in order to provide special lecture on "Research on Trauma and Accidents" for Ramathibodi's young staff and PhD students in program of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and discuss for any possible research collaboration between the 2 institutes.

Prof. Natinee Jinawat, M.D., Assistant Dean for Graduate Education, precisely provided a welcome to the 4 executives from Kansai Medical University including Prof.Koichi Tomoda, M.D. President, Prof.Yuko Suzuka, M.D. Director for International Exchange, Prof.Toshimasa Nishiyama, M.D., DMSc and Hirotake Mori, M.D., DTMH, Ph.D., on their occasion of visit the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, in order to achieve the MOU signing ceremony between the 2 institutes. Kansai Medical University (KMU) is a private medical university in the city of Moriguchi, situated in Osaka Prefecture, a satellite town of Osaka, Japan. Its origins can be traced back to 1928, when the Osaka Women’s Medical College was established, but it was not chartered until 1947. In the same year, College Hospital, the first KMU affiliated hospital was established, and an affiliated nursing school was established the following year. KMU became co-educational in 1954, when it was upgraded to the status of an incorporated educational institution and was given the name it has today. KMU has four affiliated hospitals, including KMU Kori Hospital, KMU Medical Centre, which has a Cardiovascular Centre, and KMU University Hospital, which has a Tertiary Emergency and Critical Care Centre, as well as Kansai Medical University Temmabashi General Clinic.
