Ramathibodi School of Nursing is a part of Mahidol University, one of the leading research universities in Thailand and Southeast Asia ranking at #42 in Asia (QS rankings). Students at Ramathibodi are taught using a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge and experience with real-life practice. Our classes are held not only in classrooms but also on hospital wards; students have the opportunity to practice at Ramathibodi Hospital, a tertiary hospital that cares for more than 1,000 severely ill patients and over 7,000 outpatients each day, as well as tending to local communities. As hands-on experience is a core part of all our programs, our professors work with patients at Ramathibodi Hospital and share up-to-the-minute clinical knowledge with their students.

At Ramathibodi, students have access to a wealth of resources, including the school’s own library, all of Mahidol University’s Libraries, and one of the best Nursing Databases in the region. Through using these resources, and working at the hospital and in local communities, students gain valuable firsthand insight into current health issues relevant to developing nations.

We pride ourselves in our commitment to creating a positive yet informal learning environment by providing high-quality resources and hands-on practical experience in combination with highly qualified, friendly and accessible professors. Our goal is to provide our students with an education that fosters knowledge and technical skills, as well as the humanitarian spirit that so befits a career in nursing.

Courses Offered

The majority of Ramathibodi students are enrolled in the Thai Bachelor’s Degree Program in order to gain a practicing license and become a registered nurse. Some students decide to continue their education with the Thai Master’s Degree Program, which allows them to specialize in one of six major fields. International students who wish to study nursing at Ramathibodi can enroll in the International Master’s Degree Program or the International Doctorate Program, both of which are currently offered in English.

Registered nurses who wish to further their education or increase their skills can opt for Ramathibodi’s Specialty Certificate Program, which offers a choice of eight specializations that can each be completed within just four months. Ramathibodi was one the first nursing schools in Thailand to pioneer this certificate program in order to address the increasing demand for high-skill nurses. Today, Ramathibodi is among Southeast Asia’s leading schools for continuing education.
