Ramathibodi School of Nursing encourages all faculty members to conduct research in order to continue improving care and treatment options for patients. Our main research areas are in health promotion, chronic illness prevention and management, nursing, and health systems. Because we work collaboratively with Ramathibodi Hospital faculty members are able to practice their hands-on skills with patients while giving students the chance to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-life scenarios.
Over the years, Ramathibodi has worked to innovate new methods and technologies in the field of nursing. We introduced the first primary nursing system in Thailand, created the country’s first ambulatory care service model, and promoted advanced nursing education to cope with the increasing demand for high-skill nurses. Ramathibodi is also a WHO Collaborating Centre and has been Southeast Asia’s representative to WHOCC conferences since 2010
