Professor Piyamitr Sritara, MD, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, along with Prof Jiraporn Laothamatas, MD, Director of Research Project in Child Boxers of Ramathibodi provided warm welcome to Associate Professor Christopher Thomas Whitlow, MD, PhD, MHA, Chief of Neuroradiology, Wake Forest School of Medicine, USA on the occasion of visit Ramathibodi for discussion about the further research collaboration.

Associate Professor Whitlow is a now working as an Associate Professor of Division of Radiologic Sciences in the Department of Radiology at Wake Forest School of Medicine, USA.His research interests are Magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI, DTI, DKI, NOODI, VBM), magnetoencephalography, positron emission tomography, advanced imaging data processing, brain network analyses, traumatic brain injury, preterm birth, brain development, diabetes, substance abuse, neurodegenerative disease, Alzheimer’s disease, dystonia, brain tumors.

 

Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, FACP, FRCP (T), Dean along with Prof.Alisa Limsuwan, MD, Prof. Suwanna Ruangkanchanasetr, MD, Jiraporn Arunakul, MD, children and adolescents specialists, Department of Pediatric and Komkrit Aimjirakul, MD, Department of Obstetrics Gynecology provided a warm welcome to the Parliamentary Delegates from the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste for their study visit in the area of Reproductive Health Services for Women and Adolescents at the Adolescent Out-Patient Department, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.

On this occasion, Hon.Dr.Jetn Sirathranont, MP, Secretary – General of The Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) kindly provided the special lecture on Act for Prevention and Solution of The Adolescent Pregnancy Problem B.E.2559 (2016), following with special lecture about Youth Friendly Health Services by Dr.Kittipong Saejeng, Director of Bureau of Reproductive Health. Then Dr. Wassana Im-Em, Assistant Representative, The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Thailand Country Office kindly gave an interesting comment respectively.

RAMA-TMDU Joint Agreement Signing Ceremony 

The signing ceremony of the Joint Agreement between the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) was held on July 4th, 2016 at Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing BuildingFaculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital , Mahidol University . This agreement extends the term of academic exchange and research collaboration. Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCPT, FACP, FRCP, Dean of Ramathibodi along with Prof.Hirokuni Arai, M.D., Chairman of Cardiovascular Surgery, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of TMDU and their team attended the ceremony as the representatives and witnesses of institutes.

        Congratulation to Prof. Wg. Cdr. Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, MD, Deputy Dean for International Relations, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University on the occasion of her inauguration as President of the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN) on November 11st, 2015 at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland, Australia. She is the first Thai female physician who has been elected to be the president of WFITN during 2015 – 2017.

 

Prof.Winit Phuapradit, MD, MPH, Dean, along with Prof.Ronnachai Kongsakont, MD, LLB, MSc, Deputy Dean for Procurement and Assist.Prof.Suchin Worawichawong, MD, Assistant Dean for International Relations provided warmly greeting to Assoc. December 4th, 2014 Bangkok- Prof. Winit Phuapradit, MD, MPH, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital along with Prof.A-ram Rojanasakul, MD, Director of Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center (SDMC); Assoc. Prof. Chomchaba Sirinan, MD, FRCAT,MPH, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Assist.Prof Suchin Worawichawong, MD warmly welcomed Dr. Sachiko Baba, Vice Director of Center for International Relations, Osaka University, on the occasion of her visit Mahidol University. She spent time in visiting all over of SDMC and the renovated Medical Students Dormitory.

Dr.Baba, in 2001, was a Japanes elective student at Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital.Due to her fond to Thailand and Ramathibodi, it brings her to be the key person for the process of MOU between Ramathibodi and Osaka University.
