Workshop on “Model Organisms in Biomedical Research – Drosophila and Zebrafish”

We would like to invite you to participate in “Model Organisms in Biomedical Research – Drosophila and Zebrafish”

which will be held during 17th - 20th December 2019 at Stang Mongkolsuk Conference Room, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.

Zebrafish and Drosophila are important model organisms in studying development and human diseases. In this special lecture series, we invite three professors from National Taiwan University to pave the fundamental knowledge of genetics of Drosophila and Zebrafish as well as the use of the animals in biomedical research (5 lectures). In addition, the special lecture provides interactive sessions including project discussions (1 lecture) and hands-on workshop (1 lecture). During project discussions, selected participants may present their current work and discuss with our visiting scholars for the experimental designs of using animals in their studies; hands-on workshop aims to provide basic skills of examining phenotypes and performing genetic modification.
