Philosophy of the Program 

This program aims to produce graduate students with knowledge and abilities in development for persons with disabilities, provide teaching and learning by integrating knowledge of various and related fields towards interdisciplinary development for persons with disabilities, build skills in research and related work in persons with disabilities, be academic leadership, drive society to raise awareness of persons with disabilities and disabilities by concentrating on principles of building inclusive and equal society, reducing inequality, and cultivate graduate students working in development for persons with disabilities based on integrity, ethics, professional conduct, respect for rights, equality, and human dignity.

Program Objectives

  •      At the end of the program, graduate students will be qualified as graduate qualifications as follows:
  •      1. to express morality and ethics according to standards of academic and professional ethics.
  •      2. to explain principles and theories related to development for persons with disabilities.
  •      3. to apply academic knowledge to development for persons with disabilities.
  •      4. to demonstrate collaborative skills, without discrimination on the basis of equality and human dignity.

  • PLO1:refers to the expression of morality and ethics in working and profession.
  • PLO2:refers to the explanation of principles and theories related to the development for persons with disabilities.
  • PLO3:refers to the application of academic knowledge to the development for persons with disabilities.
  • PLO4:refers to being good leaders and followers, adaptable to each other, and not discriminating on the basis of equality and human dignity.
  • PLO5:refers abilities of the use technology and numerical statistics, and the selection of the right information through the appropriate presentation.

  • Regular Program : Weekday from Monday to Friday
  • Special Program : Weekend from Saturday to Sunday

Admission Requirements

  • Plan A (2)
  • A candidate must:
  • 1. Hold a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent in any field, that is from an institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
  • 2. Have a grade point average of at least 2.50
  • 3. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  • 4. Applicants qualified for acceptance apart from (2) and (3) may be considered by the program committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  • Plan B
  • A candidate must:
  • 1. Hold a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent in any field that is from an institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
  • 2. Have a grade point average of at least 2.50
  • 3. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  • 4. Have working experience in a disability sector of at least 1 year.
  • 5. Applicants qualified for acceptance apart from (2) and (4) may be considered by the program committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

  • Requirement for graduation
  • Plan A (2)
  • A full-time candidate must:
  • 1. Spend full-time studying according to the study plan.
  • 2. Study coursework given by the academic program for at least 24 credits and work on a thesis for at least 12 credits, totaling all credits at least 36, and fulfill the program requirement with a GPA of at least 3.00
  • 3. Pass an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate School, Mahidol University.
  • 4. Attend or participate in activities of working skills and social life skills as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
  • 5. Present a thesis and pass a thesis defense by the final oral examination conducted by the student's thesis committees appointed by the Faculty of Graduate School. This exam is open to interested audiences.
  • 6. Publicize The thesis work or part of the thesis or at least be accepted for publication in a quality national or international journal according to the Office of the Higher Education Commission's Announcement "Criteria for Consideration of an Academic Journal for disseminating academic works", or present to conference proceedings following the announcement of the Graduate School.
  • 7. Comply with the terms and conditions of the scholarship if receiving a scholarship or other grant during the course of study.
  • Plan B
  • A part-time candidate must:
  • 1. Spend time studying according to the study plan.
  • 2. Study coursework given by the academic program for at least 30 credits and work on an Independent Study for at least 6 credits, totaling a number of all credits at least 36, and fulfill the program requirement with a GPA of at least 3.00 
  • 3. Pass an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate School, Mahidol University. 
  • 4. Attend or participate in activities of working skills and social life skills as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University. 
  • 5. Pass a comprehensive examination in the accordance with the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate School. 
  • 6. Present an Independent Study and pass an Independent Study defense by the final oral examination conducted by the student's Independent Study committees appointed by the Faculty of Graduate School. This exam is open to interested audiences. 
  • 7. Publicize the Independent Study work or part of the Independent Study. 
  • 8. Comply with the terms and conditions of the scholarship Students if receiving scholarships or other grants during the course of study.
